Sun Jun 5 2022	Job Signup closed RSVP closed 2022 Swim-A-Thon Sawmill Pool, 2200 Millpark Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77380 Our main fundraiser of the year, the Swim-A-Thon is a fun way for our swimmers and their loved ones to support the Marlins Swim Team. When: Sunday, June 5, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Where: Sawmill outdoor pool Swimmers will raise money for the laps they swim to support their team. As an extra bonus, they’ll earn tickets for their laps, and they can have a chance to win raffle prizes! Our goal is to have each swimmer raise $100. Then at the Swim-A-Thon, we will have a fun and exciting raffle. Swimmers will earn raffle tickets as follows: 1 ticket for every $5 turned in at the Swim-A-Thon You must turn in your donations during the event or in advance in order to receive your tickets. If you turned in raffle prizes in advance, one of the coaches will put your swimmers earned tickets into age and gender appropriate raffles. 1 ticket for the number of laps you swim, depending on your age group: 6 and under: 1 ticket per every 2 laps 8 and under: 1 ticket per every 3 laps 9&10s: 1 ticket per every 4 laps 11&12s: 1 ticket per every 5 laps 13 and overs: 1 ticket per every 6 laps 1 ticket for each $5 raffle item donated to the raffle baskets Swimmers will be provided with pizza and drinks. Extra pizza and drinks available for purchase for parents and siblings as well! Sat May 7 2022	Job Signup closed Meet Entry closed Marlin Mania Mock Meet Conroe ISD Natatorium, 19133 David Memorial Dr., Shenandoah, TX 77385 Start: 8:30 AM Marlin Mania is our first official event as a team. This mock meet is a time trial, so that coaches know how to place swimmers in future meets. We suggest that swimmers compete in all events they may swim in this summer so that we have times on file. We MUST have times for your swimmer if they want to participate in regular dual meets. Note that pictures will be taken before the meet: 8:30am: ages 13 and Up 8:45am-9am: ages 9-12 9am-9:30am: 8 & under 9:30-10:00: Siblings (swimmers can wait and take individual photos with sibling time) A team photo will be made out of the individual photos taken. Warmups will be at 10am and are required. The meet will start at 10:30am. ---------------- About Marlin Mania There are a few key differences between Marlin Mania and our regular season swim meets: Marlin Mania is only our team; no opposing teams. There are no relays at Marlin Mania. Swimmers can choose more than 3 events; please sign your swimmer up for any event that they might be interested in swimming during the season. They must have a seed time to enter future meets. We do not DQ (disqualify) swimmers from events during Marlin Mania. The important thing is to get the swimmers' times. They can continue improving their stroke technique in practice throughout the season. Swimmers will sit on the pool deck in their age groups with their designated Age Group Parent. There are some things that are the same as other swim meets: We need our volunteers and officials to make sure the meet runs smoothly. This is also a practice run for the volunteers. The Job postings for volunteers is posted on the website under schedules. The meet will start at 10:30AM (TENTATIVE) so all *volunteers need to be in position by 10:00am (TENTATIVE). If you signed up to be an age group parent, please be ready @9:40am* (TENATTIVE). ALL volunteers report to the check in table. No parents or spectators are allowed on deck unless you have a volunteer position that requires you to be on deck. Otherwise, you can view the meet from the gallery stands. NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed since it interferes with the race starting equipment. You can take pictures but make sure your flash is off. Swimmers should be on deck in their designated area NO LATER THAN 9:45am (TENTATIVE), so that they can warm-up before the start of the meet and get their event information from the Age Group Parent. --------------------- How do you sign your swimmer up for Marlin Mania? Login with your credentials, click on Events, choose Marlin Mania Meet Entry, choose the drop down-attending, and then click on all events to get your swimmer timed. Reminder you want your swimmer timed in all events-this is a mock meet. How do I sign up to be a volunteer? Login with credentials, click on Events, choose Job Signup, then click signup for jobs, a list of jobs will appear, click on 1 that suits you (you'll notice a i button that you can hover over to give you a run down on that particular volunteer slot).
